David MacGillivray and his team have made our project an enjoyable and rewarding one whilst giving us our dream living spaces.

We were lucky that David saw our vision and took on this technically difficult project.

From start to finish David has been extremely professional, had outstanding communication throughout and kept our needs and wishes at the forefront. From the start we were confident with David’s attention to detail and we were very impressed at how the project flowed (trades and materials were always timed perfectly to avoid unnecessary delays). If there were any issues, these were quickly resolved by David whilst keeping us involved each time.

Health and safety was always paramount with the whole team and this enabled our family to confidently live alongside the project.

David’s leadership style with his team and other trades provided a friendly and calm atmosphere where everyone was free to learn and ask questions when needed. It was very clear to us the respect his colleagues had for him and they spoke highly of him at all times. During our project David was met with some of his team unavoidably off work. Despite this he continued to keep the project moving on schedule and he didn’t allow the quality of work to suffer.

During the project we made some additions to the original plan and these were taken on by David without hesitation and the workload was adapted accordingly. One particular addition was a fragile, bespoke, handmade stained glass window. David took this additional task personally, showing great care with the piece. His attention to detail was superb.

Having dealt with David and his team for the last year it feels lasting friendships have been made. Their presence on site is missed but we are now very much enjoying the craftsmanship David and his team have given us and would not hesitate to have them back for future projects.
